A scholarship foundation should be clear about who it is and how it works, from day one. Here is everything, on the record.

Governance

Fletch is governed by its officers. Scholarship selection is independent and documented, decided at arm’s length on leadership, service, and impact, and never on athletic performance.

Our filings

Fletch files with the IRS every year. As a small organization, most years we file the Form 990-N, the e-Postcard for nonprofits with gross receipts under $50,000, and our FY2023 Form 990-EZ is also on file. We are early in our work, and our filings reflect that. We will publish each annual filing as it is filed.

Verify us independently

You can confirm Fletch’s status and review our record through these independent sources.

Our Texas state tax-exemption status is verifiable through the Comptroller link above. Our IRS determination letter confirming federal 501(c)(3) status is available on request.

How selection works

Awards are made through an independent, documented review on leadership, service, and impact. Selection is designed so a university compliance office can examine the process end to end. When a student is selected, the merit scholarship is paid directly to them as educational support. Fletch is built so that funds raised go to student scholarships, to the fullest extent allowed by law.

Our commitment

As Fletch grows, we will report honestly on what we raise and award. We will not inflate figures or claim results we have not produced.

Contributions to Fletch are tax-deductible to the fullest extent allowed by law; please consult your tax advisor. Fletch awards merit-based scholarships through an independent selection process and is not a name, image, and likeness (NIL) collective.
